Tritter Consulting delivers consultancy, research, policy analysis and staff development relating to citizen and service user engagement across health, education and the environment sectors. Drawing on more than 30 years of experience working in universities and business schools in the UK, Finland, and Norway, as well as visiting positions in New Zealand and Sweden, Tritter Consulting specialises in three main areas: development of academic staff in relation to research, teaching and publications, evaluating and developing systems to engage citizens, service users and stakeholders across public, private and voluntary sector organisations, developing and supporting innovative solutions to management and leadership in complex organisations. Tritter Consulting is led by Professor Jonathan Tritter but draws on a range of experts to provide additional capacity when relevant.
Jonathan Tritter
Tritter has more than 30 years of experience working in universities and business schools in the UK, Finland, and Norway, as well as visiting positions in New Zealand and Sweden. He has collaborated with government departments, service providers, municipalities and voluntary sector organisations. He is currently located in Norway.
Professor Tritter’s extensive international work on involvement and engagement has included establishing and serving as the inaugural Chief Executive for the UK National NHS Centre for Involvement, working with Public Health England to develop their public involvement strategy and People’s Panel, leading work with the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) and Finnish Environment Ministry on the involvement of citizens in environmental regulation, collaborating with WHO Europe on social participation as well as undertaking a series of highly impactful research and development projects with hospitals, health charities and universities.
He has served as editor-in-chief and on a range of editorial boards on international scientific journals. He has produced press releases, policy briefs and reports for a range of organizations and has over 110 publications including a number of highly cited pieces.
Professor Tritter has received €8.9 million in funding from a range of national and international funders including the UK Economic and Social Research Council, the Finnish Academy, the Swedish Research Council as well as government ministries. He has served on funding boards and committees including the UK Economic and Social Research Council and National Institute for Health Research, the British Council and the Health Research Board Ireland.
