Development of Academic Staff
A key aspect of the work of Tritter Consulting relates to supporting academic research and publications including the development of research applications, presentations at international conferences and publications in international academic outlets. Drawing on a strong personal track record in both obtaining external research grant funding and publications Tritter Consulting is well placed to support these areas of work and also the development of appropriate competencies needed for success.
Professor Tritter has received more than 99 million NOK (€8.9 million) in funding from a range of national and international funders including the UK Economic and Social Research Council, the Finnish Academy, the Swedish Research Council as well as government ministries. He has also served on funding boards and committees including the UK Economic and Social Research Council and National Institute for Health Research, the British Council and the Health Research Board Ireland.
In terms of publishing, Professor Tritter has served as editor-in-chief and on a range of editorial boards on international scientific journals. He has produced press releases, policy briefs and reports for a range of organizations and has over 110 publications including a number of highly cited pieces (over 800 citations). He is well placed to provide expert advice on dissemination including editing, publication, making an impact and developing dissemination strategies.

The Publishing in International Scientific Journal Programme
The programme is an innovative structured approach to support research staff to publish in English language scientific journals. The programme works with PhD students and early career staff to move from an abstract to a full article ready for submission to a target journal. This programme has been developed, validated and delivered across different faculties at Norwegian and UK universities. Based on three sessions participants progress from a structured abstract to a complete well-written article appropriately formatted and ready for submission to a targeted journal. Skills acquired include english languge skills, critical reviewing, structuring arguments, targeting and tailoring publications and maximizing impact.

The Grant Development Programme
The programme was developed and then adopted as a university wide programme at Aston University to support early career researchers achieve the first large research grant. Based on four sessions over a six-month period early career researchers are supported from an initial elevator pitch to the development of a full research proposal for a specified funder. Skills acquired include project planning, critical reading, research design and the development of a dissemination strategy.
